Welcome to Aftermath! In this play-by-post, post-apocalyptic RPG, almost all the humans in the world have died out since Y2K happened in the year 2000 AD. Everything was destroyed, save for one: the city of New York, which was protected from the apocalypse because of a recent breakthrough in science that was only developed a mere week before everything was obliterated inside one of the most advanced facilities in the entire world. This Laboratory managed to save the entire city, and even the hope that humans may come back and begin to re-populate the city. Now, the small selection of humans that had been chryogenetically frozen inside are, one by one, waking up from their immortal sleep with no memory of their former lives and incredibly heightened senses to find a half destroyed world awaiting them. The year now is 2099 AY2K, and their lives have just begun.

Looking for a canon Pern RP built for the long haul? Mavros Weyr is a solid, consistently active game which isn't planning on dying any time soon. We may not have purple dragons, but we do have regular weyrling lessons, a welcoming community, and an evolving storyline in which we do our best to include as many players as possible.
Summer may be over in the real world, but at Mavros it's just beginning. A gather is coming, which means games - harbor toss, dragon races, firestone throwing and more activities for your characters to get involved with, whether they're from hold or weyr. And with the sea gypsies stopping by, it's sure to be an event to remember.

Dornberger Private School for Secondary Education is an institute near to the river, far from population, which has the reputation of being an elitist school. Only those who are reached out to are actually eligible to apply, and of those many return home unsure of why they were rejected, unaware of what had happened in the school during the admission test. Hence, it is called the school you can never remember.
Dornberger Private School for Secondary Education is actually no school. Inside the premises of the school, exists a secret training ground for future sleepers, assassins, spies, militants and what not. Led by a confederacy of several security organizations and assassin groups, inside the walls exists Special Military Arts Training Program - the desperate struggle by the 'good' underworld to train teenagers to fight off the growing unease of the future, the potential for indiscriminate war and annihilation. No one knows how they find students worthy of fulfilling the task - but you could be next.
A high school of a kind - combined with acne and prom, death and murder - you just cannot remember it all.

On a more personal note, I'm Leah, the total dork and creator of the site! I'm looking to maybe hire more admin soon if the activity picks up (which I hope it does, haha). Don't be afraid to visit! On October 23, 2077, nuclear bombs were dropped all across the world. The bombing in America lasted only two hours, but was immensely destructive. All of the people who did not heed the air raid sirens and take cover in a vault were dead within minutes.
Most of the vaults opened up after period of twenty years, and the human civilization slowly began to rebuild itself. The denizens of the remains of America, aptly renamed the Wasteland, had many setbacks. Food and water were irradiated and animals had mutated into frightening and disgusting new creatures. There was also a lack of a uniform government, and the country fell into anarchy.
But the story does not end there, for the struggle for survival is a war without end, and war... war never changes.

Sarzah Hanson, as a young girl, always wanted to ride horses. She had shelves and shelves full of books about horses, and her room was decorated with them. Occasionally she managed to get a lesson or two on a neighbor's pony, but eventually she outgrew it and the neighbor moved away. Because of this, Sarzah barely managed to ride at all. She read her books over and over, and learned as much as she could about horses. When she turned 15, her parents finally came to their senses and bought her a horse. She began taking lessons and quickly became a brilliant rider.
One day she came back from a group trail ride at the stables, and there was a new boy. He was about her age but, unlike Sarzah, the boy didn't care much about horses. Sarzah took it upon herself to teach the boy how great horses. She showed him pictures of famous horses, and took him on constant trail rides. She even taught him to muck out stalls. Slowly, the boy called Jamey learned to love horses. Soon it was time to graduate from highschool, though. Jamey didn't really know what he wanted to do in his life, and Sarzah talked him into going to an equine college with her. The pair graduated from college together, and got married at the age of 21. They had kids, and built Pinewood Hills Equestrian together. A few years after it started, they opened the place up to the public, so that others could experience what they had, too.
At Pinewood Stables, everyone has a chance to succeed. Those who take up the chance will do well, but they must be willing to do their part. Will you be a groom? Own a shop? Be a champion rider, or help abandoned or lost horse? The choice is all yours, so use it well.
Pinewood Stables is a horse-human RP game that is owned and operated by Sarzah. We are looking for active members who can post 60+ words on a regular basis.
