Welcome to Aftermath! In this play-by-post, post-apocalyptic RPG, almost all the humans in the world have died out since Y2K happened in the year 2000 AD. Everything was destroyed, save for one: the city of New York, which was protected from the apocalypse because of a recent breakthrough in science that was only developed a mere week before everything was obliterated inside one of the most advanced facilities in the entire world. This Laboratory managed to save the entire city, and even the hope that humans may come back and begin to re-populate the city. Now, the small selection of humans that had been chryogenetically frozen inside are, one by one, waking up from their immortal sleep with no memory of their former lives and incredibly heightened senses to find a half destroyed world awaiting them. The year now is 2099 AY2K, and their lives have just begun.

So, when you go to your profile, you're going to have to make your avatar a picture of your character. If aren't able to edit pictures on something like photoshop or GIMP or any other image editing paint program, PM me with a link and I'll fix one up for you :P

You also have to set your name to that of your character. Not a big deal, after a bit everyone will know what your OOC name is, so don't sweat it.

For sigs, I wouldn't go much bigger than 600x300 pixels, okay? It can be of your character or anything like that.

In the personal text, just input a quote of your character, just so we get the feel of who she/he is, you know? Like for an upbeat, happy person, you might put something like 'A positive attitude never hurt anyone.' [Which is very true ;)] or for a more withdrawn character you could just put something simple, like 'As if I care.' Again, it doesn't have to be anything too special, you can even quote from a song, just as long as it somehow relates to your character.

I'll be introducing a point system soon as we get more members around here, so until then, just PM me with what you would like to have as your custom title and consider it done :) You'll be like, premium, or something... Lol. BBC code is allowed for these guys, so feelfreetomakeitfunky!

The same goes for colored names! PM me the color code and I'll get right on it! Think of it as beginner's freebies, I guess :) Good luck!
